The founders and shareholders of LeeSide include Robert McKim, George Loughery and Donald Wishart - three investment professionals excited to have reunited in a spirit of excellence. All held senior positions at SEAMARK Asset Management, and practised an investment management style that persisted in portfolios up until Robert McKim’s departure from SEAMARK in mid-2005. During McKim’s tenure the flagship mandate, measured as a Balanced Fund Composite, achieved above median returns in 16 of 20 calendar periods. (see figure 1)

$10,000 invested in the Balanced Fund Composite at the end of in 1984 would have appreciated to $95,082 by the end of 2004, a compound rate of return of 11.9%. Only one year recorded a negative return, demonstrating an enviable record of value creation.  As measured by our past history of managing balanced funds, our firm's principals have demonstrated an enviable record of value creation, achieving above median returns in 80% of the annual periods from 1985 to 2004.  This consistency of returns delivered the dual benefits of high relative returns with low variability (risk).  (see figure 2)
