Companies are selected from countries beyond the traditional European, Japanese and Australian markets only when they have a significant portion of revenue from exports to the developed nations. Again, the focus is on owning leading companies that offer an attractive combination of safety, growth and inexpensive valuation. Accordingly the mandate is expected to deliver strong returns with a lower risk profile than investing directly in emerging markets.
